WorkSource/ HireAbility Presentation
On March 6-7th, 2017, Jack Kaplan of WorkSource Washington provided a special presentation to several individuals in the HireAbility Spokane community. During this presentation, he shared his knowledge and insight with a group of prospective job seekers as well as several job developers. WorkSource is a statewide partnership of state, local and nonprofit agencies that provides an array of employment and training services to job seekers and employers in Washington State.
Jack partnered with Spokane’s Ignite team, a group of local employment consultants, as well as Katherine Titus of WISE/ HireAbility Spokane to benefit those in the HireAbility community who are still searching for employment.
Jack presented information about how to execute a successful job search, including how to present your skills and attributes in a professional way. Day two focused on success on the job and exceeding employer expectations.
“The feedback I got from the group was very positive and look forward to doing another event soon with Katherine and the Ignite team,” said Jack.
Job seekers and job developers alike had the opportunity to learn from a 40+ year veteran in the field. Presentations like this are aimed at enhancing the skills and professional level of job seekers, better preparing them for successful employment.
WorkSource offers plenty of tools and resources on their website, www.worksourcewa.com, as well as a network of more than 60 WorkSource center, affiliates and connection sites. If you missed out on the first presentation, stay tuned for the next WorkSource/ HireAbility offering in the future.
